Use and Care Before using your 12 Calphalon omelette pan for the first time, hand wash in warm, sudsy water and dry thoroughly. Wipe the interior with a light coat of cooking oil to condition the cooking surface. Use a lower heat setting than you normally would, as the nonstick omelette pan heats and cools more quickly than other cookware due to the heavy-gauge construction. Slide nonstick omelette pan is oven-safe to 500 F and glass cover is safe to 450. Slide nonstick cookware is not safe for broiler use. Use with nylon, coated or wooden utensils to protect the cookware surface. Allow the 12 Calphalon omelette pan to cool completely before washing. Never immerse a hot skillet in cold water as this may cause irreparable warping. Calphalon omelette pan is dishwasher-safe, but hand washing helps protect the cookware's finish. Do not use detergents that contain bleach or citrus additives. To wash by hand, simply clean with a liquid dishwashing detergent and a nonabrasive sponge or soft bristle brush. Maintain the finish with Bar Keeper's Friend cleanser and a nonabrasive sponge.
